KNK Recruiting, LLC is looking for a direct hire Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) for our targeted client located in the Indianapolis, Indiana area.
Targeted Hourly Rate: $25hr - $30hr (pay rate varies depending upon skills and experience level.
Status: Full-Time Days

For over 160 years this healthcare system has offered high quality, cost-effective and patient-focused health care to the residents of Marion County and Central Indiana. This healthcare system offers primary and special care services at a 333-bed hospital and outpatient centers.
Job Summary:
The Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) is an individual with specialized education who functions as a member of the operating room team to help ensure safe, efficient, and successful surgical procedures/outcomes. The CST handles instruments, supplies, and equipment necessary for surgical procedures; has an understanding of the procedures being performed and anticipates the needs of the surgeon; has the necessary knowledge and ability to ensure quality patient care during the operative phase; and is constantly on vigil for maintenance of the sterile field.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
• Preparing the operating room by setting up surgical instruments and equipment.
• Preparing patients for surgery by washing, shaving, and disinfecting incision sites.
• Transporting patients to the operating room and helping position them on the operating table.
• Passing instruments and supplies to surgeons during surgical procedures.
• Monitoring the patient's vital signs and other relevant information during surgery.
• Sterilizing equipment and ensuring all tools are functioning correctly.
• Applying sterile dressings to incision sites.
Qualifications:
• Current CST certification through the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) or has completed a military surgical technology program. Those with military training (i.e. “Operating Room Specialist” certification) must obtain their CST certification through the NBSTSA within three months of their start date.
• New graduates must obtain CST certification within 45 days of their start date. • CSTs must complete 60 hours of approved continuing education in a 4-year timeframe with 15 CEUs turned into education every year.
• Current BLS certification
• Member of professional organization (AST) preferred.
• Call requirements- 30 minute call back time
