Estimated Target Salary Range: $100Kyr - $130Kyr (Salary varies depending upon skill and experience)

Position Reports to: Chief Nursing Officer
Department Description:
The 12-bed emergency department serves geriatric, adult, and pediatric patient populations with approximately 17,000 visits per year.
Summary:
The Director of Nursing – Emergency Department will support the development of the bedside nurse and foster empowerment through skills, experience and knowledge to achieve excellence during the delivery of evidence- based nursing practice.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
· Approachable servant leader with a positive, hands-on leadership philosophy.
· Accurately identify real and potential problems affecting the service and implement solutions with follow through and communication.
· Advance the patient experience agenda in the Emergency Department.
· Coach immediate subordinates and provide feedback; constructive critique of work; facilitate individual development plans; and document job performance. You will participate in the selection of Emergency Department staff in collaboration with the Human Resources Department.
· Effectively communicate department, organization and industry information to staff.
· Effectively build strong relationships and networks to deliver upon organizational and department goals. You will represent the organization in community outreach and partnerships.
· Enforce standards of emergency department care and develop processes to measure and ensure consistent compliance.
· Establishment of issue resolution and accountability processes for providers and interact with
Qualifications:
· Bachelor's degree in nursing required. Master's degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, or Business Administration preferred or willing to pursue within one year of employment
· 3+ years of experience in emergency services and 5+ years of experience in a leadership role required.
· Current license as a Registered Nurse in the State of Ohio.
