KNK Recruiting, LLC is looking for a direct hire Emergency Department – Clinical Nursing Leader for our targeted client located in the Kalamazoo, Michigan area. 

Targeted Salary Range: $90Kyr to $115Kyr (Salary range varies depending upon skills and experience level). 
Status: Full-Time 
Reports to: Director of Emergency Department

Our targeted client is a healthcare system that serves patients and families throughout southwest Michigan and northern Indiana. They offer a full range of services from primary care to advanced critical care, their goal is to provide you with the right care, at the right time, in the right place.  Our client has 747 licensed inpatient beds and is the largest employer and leading healthcare system in the region.

Job Summary:
The Emergency Department Clinical Nurse Leader manages and assists in the flow of patient access, discharge, and follow-up functions for all patients in the Emergency Room. This individual serves as a clinical expert providing analytical support to the nursing leadership to plan and predict patient care needs based on quality benchmarking, research, education and practice. 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
•    Designs, coordinates, integrates and evaluates nursing care to ensure optimal patient outcome.
•    Focus on the follow-up and assistance on their patients pre and post hospital care. 
•    Interaction with local community support entities is required as this position coordinates and collaborates with other hospital departments, outside entities, and the Medical Staff. 
•    Monitor the visit and revisit of the Emergency Department patient population and actively participates in process and procedure flows, changes, and implementations in collaboration with the Department Director. 

•    Master’s degree in Nursing, and 5 years of progressive acute care nursing experience including involvement in direct patient care, staff education, and problem solving of unit or organizational issues required
•    Licensed RN in good standing with the State of Michigan required.
•    Certifications as per assigned area. (ALS, BLS, CCRN, PCCN etc.)
•    Must complete CNL certification from American Association of Colleges of Nursing within 6 months of hire.
•    Must be CPR Certified
