KNK Recruiting, LLC is looking for a direct hire Float Pool – Registered Nurse –FT Nights for our targeted client located in the Battle Creek, Michigan area. 

Targeted Pay Range: $40hr - $55hr (pay range varies depending upon skills and experience level). 
Status: Full-Time Nights

Targeted Client Description:
Our targeted client is a healthcare system that serves patients and families throughout southwest Michigan and northern Indiana. They offer a full range of services from primary care to advanced critical care, their goal is to provide you with the right care, at the right time, in the right place.  Our client has 747 licensed inpatient beds and is the largest employer and leading healthcare system in the region.

Job Summary:
As a Float Pool Registered Nurse the primary responsibilities will include delivering high-quality patient care, adapting to different working environments, and maintaining a broad skill set to meet the diverse needs of each department served.  The Float Pool Registered Nurse will quickly familiarize themselves with different unit protocols and patient care standards, as well as work collaboratively with various healthcare teams.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
•    Manages the care delivery for patients in the hospital throughout the length of stay to achieve quality outcomes and timely discharge. 
•    Collects comprehensive data pertinent to the patients’ health or the situation.
•    Assesses the patient’s physical and developmental needs
•    Analyzes assessment data to identify appropriate patient needs
•    Document nursing history and age appropriate physical/emotional needs/strengths for assigned patients
•    Reviews vital signs to assess condition of patient and detect deviations from normal.
•    Analyzes the assessment data to determine patient problems or issues
•    Uses the assessment data to identify patient problems
•    Confirms problems with patient and family when appropriate
•    Documents the expected outcomes and plan of care related to the problems through use of the clinical pathway and outcome teaching record
•    Utilize the patient/family input when defining outcomes. Incorporates the patient values, ethical and cultural considerations.
•    Coordinates discharge planning for outcomes not achieved utilizing the continuum of care available.
•    Develop a plan that prescribes interventions to attain expected outcomes.

Qualifications:
•    Associate's degree in Nursing required
•    Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred, must obtain within 8 years of hire
•    Licensed Registered Nurse in good standing with the State of Michigan
•    As of December 29, 2013, any nurse hired by our targeted client who does not hold a BSN (or higher nursing degree) will be given 8 years from date of hire date to obtain. If, after years, the nurse has not met this requirement, employment will be terminated.
•    Critical care or Advanced Life Support is required for RN Nurses. 
•    BLS competency required by completion of core orientation.
